That Cherry Blossom on my Front Lawn

That cherry blossom
On my front lawn drops gifts
Every summer
As fragile balls of cherries
Splatter on the heated sidewalk.
Tipped by sun,
It quickly exposes the
Taste of a scrumptious fruit.
That cherry blossom
On my front lawn changes clothes
Every autumn
As intense leaves of life
Transform to maroon shades.
Rippled by breeze,
It gently reveals the
Scent of violet-sweet produce.
That cherry blossom
On my front lawn rests a while
Every winter
As chocolate arms of branches
Drip frozen ponds and jagged ice.
Burst by the cold,
It barely exposes the
Touch of shivering patterns.
That cherry blossom
On my front lawn paints portraits
Every spring
As delicate buds of newborn
Mature to delicate heads for bees.
Altered by petals,
It slowly reveals the
Sight of transient splendor.
