The earth, our home, our lives,
Disappearing before our eyes.
The oceans only tears
After this phenomenon that took years.
They said it would never happen,
Not in our lifetime.
It has become a giant-sized oven,
A furnace in its prime.
Cities lie submerged beneath the seas
Gone are the trees and the bees.
The icecaps all melted and gone,
The habitats never to see another dawn.
But wait, we still have a chance to escape
The seemingly unstoppable, looming fate.
We need to take action and not just gape.
It’s up to us to learn and to create
Our future.
