“The Story of Stuff” is a short film that I highly recommend. It’s hosted by a woman who spent ten years of her life traveling the world and researching how consumer goods get into our hands. It follows the five basic stages of consumerism: extraction, production, distribution, consumption, and disposal.
The film reveals some very interesting things about what happens as a result of our consumers’ culture. I think everybody should see it because it actually makes you feel like you should do something, rather than certain other films, which simply make you feel depressed about the planet (*cough* Inconvenient Truth *cough*).
