" This lounge gives people the experience of life in the artic parts of the world. It displays what it would be like in the inside of an igloo and the frozen icy floors. The light colors reflect the natural environment as well as a calm relaxing place for teenagers to go and get away from the usual environments that they are in. The furniture is all made of "ice" and we added at T.V that is playing a documentary on the effects of global warming on the artic animals. This gives teens the opportunity to enjoy as well as learn about the environment. "
"From The Roots" By Isabelle Aspera
12th Grade Oakland High School
"My art piece is a small model of a lounge. I used an environmental theme to show how cities are taking over our green land. The trees, lakes, and grasslands are becoming rare in our world. With our cities comes pollution and destruction of the environment. If the world continues to ignore global warming, we might one day have artificial parks as our lounges, just to be able to sit under a tree. "
"Fresh Air Lounge" By Hoang Nguyen, Johanna Sun, Yoon Saechao, and Michael Pham
12th Grade Oakland High School
"The theme of our lounge is made to look like a nightclub. The reason why we named it Fresh Air Lounge because it is suppose to give a safe and comfortable vibe. We have couches, beanbags and a lazy back chair. It gives a soothing calm feel next to a palm tree and water pond. The "come up for air" is to give the viewers an example of why we have an oxygen bar. An oxygen bar is a bar where you can breathe clean and different flavored air. Our club theme is to attract the attention along with the surround sound around the room. The "L" stands for love, and the "8" stands for hate,"

"We're the Deep Blue Sea. Our lounge is a wonderful art piece that helps stressed, depressed, and unsure people. We made sure to make a safe environment and non clutter, and stable lounge. In our lounge you are able to sit down and see images of a flowing ocean, with sound effects. This lounge also reminds you of a dark cool room, because it has been known to relax the human brain, and human body. That's where the dark blue concept comes from. A lounge is a place where people want to sit and stay for sometime to relax, so we did out best to satisfy those importances. So please come visit The Deep Blue Lounge, to relieve, and rejuvenate, or just come to have fun. You will truly have an unforgettable experience!"
